DIGITAL MAMMOGRAPHY
BREAST TOMOSYNTHESIS TECHNOLOGY
HELIANTHUS DBT
15° SCREENING | 24° STANDARD DIAGNOSTICS | 50° IN-DEPTH DIAGNOSTICS |
The DBT smallest scan angle is optimal when an extremely short scan time is required (even 2.5s) to minimize movement, artifacts, and patient discomfort | The DBT intermediate angle always has a short scan time (4s ) and excellent sharpness. It guarantees a better resolution and is an optimal choice for standard diagnostics procedures | The DBT wide-angle, requiring a longer scan time (7.7s ) improves the discrimination of overlapping tissues (in case of in-depth analysis) |
Helianthus DBT | TRIPLE SCAN ANGLE IN TOMOSYNTHESIS |
DIAGNOSTIC ACCURACY: IMAGING MODALITIES FOR EACH EXAMINATION | Helianthus DBT allows the operator to perform tomosynthesis exams by choosing between three scan angles: 15°, 24°, or 50°. Image acquisition is always carried out at the maximum resolution of the digital detector. |
HELIANTHUS
CUSTOMIZED DIGITAL MAMMOGRAPHY
HELIANTHUS
Helianthus results from a demanding challenge aimed to create a modular digital mammography system that allows the end-user to carry out in-depth screening and clinical examinations with the most up-to-date techniques and let the radiologist evaluate, at any time, possible integration of more advanced features.
VERSATILE PERFORMANCE | IMPROVED SAFETY | UP-TO-DATE FEATURES |
This mammo unit only allows the acquisition of 2D digital mammography images. However, the system is designed to be integrated at any time with the most current diagnostic methods, such as tomosynthesis and dual-energy (contrast-enhanced mammography). A wide range of accessories allows the configuration for all interventional practices (including stereotactic and tomo-guided biopsy). | Smoother movements thanks to the isocentric servo-assisted movements of the C-arm. Extensive rotational and translation movements for patient’s quick and easy positioning. All the exam parameters are easily accessible on the 7″ color touchscreen displays on the C-arm’s sides. | To guarantee confident and accurate diagnosis, the Helianthus system is outfitted with state-of-the-art features such as automatic collimation, “Smart μ Press” compression system and the powerful POEt (Processing for Optimal Enhancement) software. |
Helianthus | DIGITAL DETECTOR |
THE PROPER RADIATION DOSE FOR EACH KIND OF BREAST TISSUE | In the Helianthus unit, the digital detector is also used to set optimal exposure parameters in an automatic or a semi-automatic mode. According to the compression paddle employed, a continuous portion of the sensitive area of the detector is selected for a particular procedure and the actual density of the tissue to be examined is determined using a short preexposure pulse |
HELIANTHUS C
ENTRY-LEVEL DIGITAL MAMMOGRAPHY
HELIANTHUS C
Helianthus C is the direct result of the recent and significant redesign of the company’s entire product line. This compact unit represents the basic model of a standardized platform and exemplifies the fastest and most cost-effective transition to digital mammography.
OPTIMAL PRICE/PERFORMANCE RATIO | SAFETY | UP-TO-DATE FEATURES |
Helianthus allows acquiring only 2D digital images. While this system is not upgradable, it can be integrated with a wide range of accessories configured to suit most routine mammography procedures | Smoother movements thanks to the isocentric servo-assisted movements of the C-arm. Extensive rotational and translation movements for patient’s quick and easy positioning All the exam parameters are easily accessible on the 7″ color touchscreen displays on the C-arm’s sides. | To guarantee confident and accurate diagnosis, the Helianthus C system is outfitted with state-of-the-art features such as automatic collimation, “Smart μ Press” compression system and the powerful POEt (Processing for Optimal Enhancement) software. |
Helianthus C | FAST EXPOSURE MODE |
EXCELLENCE IN SCREENING | In the presence of implants or when it is difficult to carry out a correct compression of the breast, it is still possible to optimize the dose delivered with another mode of exposure, called FAST, based on the thickness of the tissue to be examined. The exposure parameters are always set to satisfy the requirements of the European Guidelines |
